Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)

Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)

The CIC designation is a respected credential for insurance professionals who want to strengthen their knowledge, sharpen their skills and stand out in a competitive marketplace.

Nationally Recognized Designation CE Included In-Person & Virtual Options

We think it’s worth investigating. Offered by The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research, the Certified Insurance Counselor designation is designed for insurance professionals who are serious about professional growth and client service.

To earn the CIC designation, individuals must complete five intensive courses, each followed by a comprehensive exam. Courses cover key areas including Commercial Property, Commercial Casualty, Personal Lines, Life and Health, Insurance Company Operations, Commercial Multiline and Agency Management.

Maintaining the CIC requires annual updates, helping designees stay current with industry trends, emerging risks and evolving regulations.
