Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)

We Think It's Worth Investigating

The Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation is a prestigious credential recognized throughout the insurance and risk management industry. Offered by The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research, the CIC program is designed for insurance professionals who are serious about expanding their knowledge, sharpening their skills, and standing out in a competitive marketplace.

To earn the CIC designation, individuals must complete five intensive courses—each followed by a comprehensive exam—covering key areas such as Commercial Property, Commercial Casualty, Personal Lines, Life and Health, Insurance Company Operations, Commercial Multiline and Agency Management. These courses go beyond theory, offering real-world insights and solutions that professionals can apply immediately in their work.

Why pursue the CIC designation? Because it signifies a deep commitment to professional development and client service. CIC designees are viewed as trusted advisors, equipped with the tools and knowledge to provide expert guidance. The designation can enhance your credibility, increase your value to employers, and open doors to career advancement.

Maintaining the CIC requires annual updates, ensuring that designees stay current with industry trends, emerging risks, and evolving regulations—making this a lifetime investment in professional excellence.
